I just want to say that I grew up with a passion for Green products. My whole life growing up on a farm gave me respect for the land! I protect the environment around me every chance I get! This may all sound corny to you but if you don't know by now, Alternative Energy is the way of the future! We must act now to eliminate the pollution that scores our Ozone layer and causes the Polar Ice Caps to melt! The time is now to preserve the future for our youth!  Otherwise, one day we will wake up and it will be too late!  Whatever we do from that day on might not matter! Think about what is happening to the climates today?

How many knew that the Sun creates 200,000 times the energy this planet uses in a month, we have used wind turbines during the olden days, so tell me why we are not using solar energy to power our homes?

I just thought I would see how many we have who believe in Green Energy? There is more I can talk about on this subject but I will let someone else have there say!

Welcome to the forums mate. I know all about solar, green and renewable energy. I have build many websites about the subjects in the past, and I build, designed and administered a large major solar manufacturer and importers website for three years. I have many green and renewable plans and ideas for the future. I don't buy this global warming baloney -- climate change is a natural thing. However, I am all for preventing the pollution and not destroying the air, water and land we need to live off. I blame greedy corporations rather than the consumer. It's up to the corporations and those with money and power to build and promote better solutions. Everyone living in a 12v car battery to run their homes isn't going to help much when corporations are spewing toxic waste into the air, water and land.

well said, both of you! I wish more people would take a sensible view on climate change, and the fact that we HAVE to do something about it, no matter whose fault it is that we're in this situation! Burying our heads in the sand hasn't worked so far, what makes them think it suddenly will in the future?

I know alot of people believe it would be too costly to go solar, wind, or magnetic powered, but to the contrary! Even a 30 percent Tax break is given to help promote alternative energy. Yes, I currently have the diagrams for the magnetic generator and am making plans to collect the parts and construct it!  Will let all know how it turns out!  Already a person up north, Illinois, is building these generators and selling them for $5000 a piece. He currently has one powering his home. You just wouldn't believe how cheap it would be too build solar panels, wind turbines or magnetic generator to totally power your home, think about it "NO ELECTRIC BILL"!

I even heard they are putting solar cells in paint and roofing shingles, wow what a concept!  They already have solar purses, solar baseball caps to cool your head, and much, much more!
Still think solar is a bad idea?  Can't believe that!

Yeah the technology exists mate. It's a sad state of affairs when we have all this technology and we're still doing what nomads were doing thousands of years ago: "Burning stuff".. *shakes head*. It's all greed. The biggest problem in this world (even greater than pollution) is the greed that causes it; along with a total contempt for humans and nature.
